About

I am passionate about teaching languages. I have always been hard-working and ambitious in my studies, as I love learning new things. I feel that the previous has also triggered my interest in teaching techniques, as I would like to transmit this passion to younger people. Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to be a teacher. Up until now not much has changed: for me, teaching is one of the most rewarding professions. In my view, the best part of it is seeing students improve, as I believe that language teaching should center on the student’s needs and on their own happiness. Moreover, I am enthusiastic about exchanging cultural knowledge and I think that this is an integral part of language learning.

I studied English Studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, receiving first-class honours in it. I will be starting a Teaching masters degree in February.

I am a native speaker of Spanish and Galician. I was born in Galicia (Spain) and have lived in both Madrid and Galicia for 15 years. However, I also speak advanced English because I have lived in the USA for 8 years because of my parent's jobs and thanks to scholarships.

Furthermore, I am experienced in language teaching, as I have taught many Spanish and English private lessons since I was a teenager to all age groups. Also, I have taught languages at the DAI (German-American Institute) in Heidelberg. In addition, in my English Studies degree I have been enrolled in several foreign language teaching courses.
