About
Every student has strengths and weaknesses. I am very patient and will work based on these to ensure that the student will achieve his/her set goals.
The lessons are tailored to the students' needs. I offer help for exam preparation, homework or general revision of course contents.
For German lessons, I also provide help with essay writing, syntax, grammar, and speaking practice to ensure correct pronunciation.
I also have experience in providing online lessons via skype.
Hi. My name is Luisa. I am a second year Biochemistry PhD student in UCD. I am a German native speaker but I am fluent in English.
I obtained a first-class Bachelors' (honours) in Biosciences in Germany and a first-class Masters' in Genetics from UCD.
I am a private tutor for more than 8 years. I started giving grinds in secondary school.
My students progressed rapidly through weakly revision of the course material and additional practices, tailored to achieve the student's goals.
As part of my PhD I also teach science-based laboratory classes and small-group tutorial sessions. To be optimally prepared for teaching university courses, I participated in the module "Teaching in Higher Education" in UCD.
