About
Hi, i'm Mark.
I offer Leaving Cert Maths grinds at higher and ordinary level.
[Online grinds only at the moment]
In my lessons with students, I first discuss with the student what topics in maths they find challenging and those that they are strong in.
My focus is on ensuring that the student fully understands the concepts and principles in maths, tailoring the lesson to the student's way of learning and encouraging questions.
We then apply what we learned to past exam papers and problems. Weekly homework can be given if the student prefers. Exam strategy is also discussed.
I can provide extensive notes on all topics as we go.
Lessons are done currently via Skype and interactive online whiteboard. The completed lesson can then be reviewed later by the student.
I am passionate about teaching and it's always very rewarding to see a student's improvement.
My rate is 30 euro/hour.
I have a degree in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin and a Master's in Neuroscience also from Trinity. I received 7As in the Leaving cert, including As in higher level Maths, Physics and Applied Maths.

Lessons with Mark are very effective and professional. He is a reliable and honest person. Great teacher with an individual approach to every person and problem. He is always willing to help even outside of tuition's hours. I recommend him as a tutor.
