About
Grinds available in French, Irish or Spanish. Languages are my passion and I use them as much as I can in everyday life by maintaining a network of friends and making use of any multilingual written or visual media available to me. I hope to instill this passion among my students through engaging and fun, organised but informal lessons. Classes have a particular emphasis on oral exams and grammar with an aim to enable students to speak and write independently, without learning reams of notes off by heart.
Studied a B.A. in Children's Studies with Irish and French, spent a year abroad teaching in France.
Went on to do an M.A. san Ateangaireacht Chomhdhála (conference interpreting/translation). Lived in France for approx. 4 years in total and in Spain for 2 years.
Currently on year 2 of an Maistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas (Professional Masters in Education) in University of Galway. Several years' experience tutoring Irish and French at secondary level.
